UNIKOM English Literature Study Program and UTAMA English Study Program Discuss Potential Academic Partnerships in the Field of Language and Literature

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The English Literature Study Program of Universitas Komputer Indonesia and the English Language Study Program of Widyatama University held an event entitled “Potential Academic Partnerships” as an initial step in establishing strategic collaborations in the development of higher education based on language, literature and information technology.

The event brought together academics from both institutions to discuss opportunities for cooperation that include curriculum development, research collaboration, community service, and improving student competence. With an adaptive curriculum and teaching staff consisting of doctors and masters in the fields of pragmatics, stylistics, semiotics, and applied linguistics, UNIKOM’s English Literature Study Program emphasizes the importance of synergy between institutions in order to produce graduates who are superior and relevant to global needs.

One form of collaboration discussed was the development of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) based curriculum that is integrated with information technology, as well as organizing thematic discussions, joint-lectures both online and offline, to lecturer and student exchange programs. Not only that, both parties also explored the potential for joint research and publications through the formation of cross-institutional research teams.

In the field of community service, programs such as high school student education, community literacy and translation, and recruitment of new students are the focus of discussion. Meanwhile, in terms of student development, activities such as the English Festival, leadership workshops, and professional ethics seminars are expected to form strong academic and professional characters. Strengthening the digital ecosystem is also an important agenda, through the production of educational content, joint webinars, and promotion across digital platforms to expand the reach and visibility of the program.

Through this meeting, UNIKOM’s English Literature Study Program and UTAMA’s English Language Study Program are committed to continuing to encourage cross-institutional collaboration for the advancement of higher education, as well as contributing to the development of science and community empowerment.
