The English Literature Study Program at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) was officially established on October 24, 2001, based on the Establishment Decree No. 12/SK/YST/X/2001. Teaching and learning activities commenced with the first cohort in 2002 under the auspices of the Faculty of Literature, which was then led by Dean Prof. Dr. H. Moch. Tadjuddin, M.A.
Since its inception, the leadership of the English Literature Study Program has continuously evolved dynamically to advance the quality of education. The following is a list of Head of Study Program throughout the years:

The Faculty of Literature, as the home of this study program, has undergone several important leadership phases. In 2015, the leadership was continued by Prof. Dr. Hj. T. Fatimah Djajasudarma. A year later, in 2016, the nomenclature of the Faculty of Literature was officially changed to the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. From 2020 to the present (2025), the faculty has been led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Soni Mulyawan Setiana, M.Pd.
As an adaptive higher education institution, the English Literature Study Program possesses a strong academic distinction, namely integrating the study of English language and literature with digital technology and entrepreneurship. This aligns with UNIKOM’s vision as a Digital Entrepreneurial University.
The quality of educational delivery in this study program has received widespread recognition. Currently, the English Literature Study Program has achieved an EXCELLENT accreditation rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) with Decree Number: 873/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/III/2024. Furthermore, as evidence of its commitment to global quality standards, the study program has also successfully obtained international accreditation from FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) with project number 22/018, valid until March 5, 2029. This recognition affirms the position of UNIKOM’s English Literature Study Program as a credible institution in producing globally competitive graduates.
