The English Literature Study Program of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has established an academic collaboration with the English Literature and English Language Study Programs of the Institute of Education and Language (IPB) Cirebon. The initial meeting, held at the IPB Cirebon campus, marked the beginning of an inter-institutional synergy to strengthen the three pillars of higher education, particularly in education and teaching.
The discussion on May 28, 2025, began with a review of the standardization of Lecturer Performance Reports (LKD) and Lecturer Workloads (BKD), a strategic step to ensure consistency in academic reporting and to enhance the quality of lecturers within the English literature and language programs of both institutions.
The collaboration was further solidified through a serious discussion regarding the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNIKOM and IPB Cirebon. A concrete initiative currently being developed is a cross-campus Guest Lecture program, where lecturers from both institutions will deliver public lectures in their respective partner programs. This initiative is expected to be realized soon to enrich the academic atmosphere and broaden students’ perspectives.
The Head of the English Literature Study Program at UNIKOM expressed that this collaboration is a strategic effort to create opportunities for knowledge exchange and teaching experiences among universities. “We believe that partnerships like this will have a positive impact, not only for lecturers and institutions but also directly for students,” he stated.
Both parties have agreed to continue this cooperation through various activities, including faculty exchanges, joint research collaborations, and the development of adaptive curricula that align with industry demands and global advancements.
With a spirit of collaboration and commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education, the English Literature Study Program of UNIKOM and IPB Cirebon are ready to advance towards excellent, relevant, and competitive literary and language education.
