Echfiz Dzakwan Arrazie, a student in the English Literature program, advanced to the final round of the outstanding student competition on Tuesday (April 7) in rooms L.030 and L.021. The event took place from 8:30 AM to 3:10 PM and was attended by 10 participants from various departments. This Outstanding Student Selection aims to inspire and honor students’ achievements in becoming exemplary students.
The series of events began with the gathering of the finalists, followed by an interview on outstanding achievements, an English proficiency test, and a presentation of creative ideas related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Echfiz, a finalist from the English Literature program, stated that this outstanding student selection event aims to generate creative ideas from students, particularly on the topic of the SDGs. He also noted that this event serves as a selection stage for students advancing to the national level.
“The main goal is to generate creative ideas to address the SDG topics, and this event for the finalists is to select the students who will advance to the national stage,” he said.
She also said that regarding this competition,
“If I were to make it to the finals, I’d definitely be happy, but also nervous—since this is the first competition I’ve entered and there’s an English interview, plus I have to explain the creative concept I’ve developed, so it feels a bit nerve-wracking to present it,” she added.
This event is an annual university program designed to motivate students to consistently excel.
